SGC: the exchange

For the past semester I have been in contact with Natalie Rzucidlo from University of the Arts in Philadelphia to organize a printer's hat exchange. We had about 30 people involved and decided it would be best to get together during SGC for the exchange. We exchanged the hats on Thursday night and on Saturday showed them during the open portfolios. For the rest of the month they will be on display both at Uarts and Edinboro University.

SGC: open portfolio

This was my first open portfolio session. I felt like a seven year old doing their first solo at a recital. Not only was I in the first session, but the whole process is an awkward experience of people looking at you and your work then walking by making faces. The second time around was a little easier because I was showing the printer's hats exchange with Uarts, and it was the busier, more friendly third session.

SGC: being in Philadelphia

I grew up in Philly. So naturally I was stoked to go to SGC in Philly. While the conference was okay, I had a blast hanging with my print buddies, and exploring the city.

portfolio shoot

I lost my 16gb usb drive that had all of my scanned prints and documented work. I was stressed so I had no time to be devastated, instead I was able to have photographer extraordinaire Lacey Barber shoot my portfolio and get me back up to date!

Unfortunately, this happened last week and I still haven't gotten the new files from her. But I did take some shots of the shooting process:
